2021 PTG
Passe-tout-grains (PTG) is a traditional Burgundian blend of Pinot Noir and Gamay. As we continue to evaluate the feasibility of adding a second red variety to the Flat Rock Vineyard, we wanted to put our own spin on this classic. They say teamwork makes the dreamwork, and by co-fermenting these two high performing grapes, we’d have to agree!
Tasting Notes
This charming red is bright on the nose with tart cherry and field berries. The fruit carries onto the front of the palate, making way to more earthy, graphite notes through the finish. Light with bright acidity, this can also be enjoyed with a slight chill.Winemaker Notes
In 2021 we had an abundance of high quality Pinot Noir, so when some of our favourite producers in Four Mile Creek offered up more Pinot, we knew we could experiment with it. Made in the "passe-tout-grains" style with 86% Pinot Noir and 14% Gamay. Largely aged in stainless steel tanks only 16% saw French oak barrels.Wine Profile
