Tasting Notes
Beautiful ripe apple, peach and refreshing grapefruit on the nose. The palate shows the richness of the 2020 vintage and is full of bright acidity and racy minerality.
Winemaker Notes
The 2020 growing was what winemakers dream of! The warm, dry fall allowed the grapes to be harvested at optimal ripeness before being fermented in stainless steel tanks to preserve freshness, acidity and minerality. We were fortunate with our harvest, so it only makes sense to continue to give generously, and thus we continue to do so through our contribution to Feed Ontario (formerly the Ontario Association of Food Banks). This wine is an
expression of the hard-work and dedication that goes into the vineyards and winemaking. With notes of tropical fruit and its ability to give back to the community, it’s an excellent representation of all things good in Ontario.
Ratings
Beguiling aromas of exotic spice, savoury herbs and floral notes abound decorated with wisps of apple and citrus notes. It blankets the palate with a laser-like streak of racy acidity expressed as white grapefruit, fresh lemon juice and plenty of pizzazz. This is clean, crisp and refreshing from twist top to last drop. Don't hesitate to order a case that you can stretch to last until this time next year. Pour this with fish, shellfish or roast chicken or, if you wish, sip on its own, it's lip-smacking, delicious. Score - 90. (Vic Harradine, winecurrent.com, Oct. 27, 2021)
