2015 Nadja's Vineyard Riesling
Winemaker Notes
Our iconic Riesling, the Nadja's Vineyard, was planted in 2001 to a select clone from the Mosel, Germany. In 2015 we had a naturally balanced crop - not too little, not too much. The growing season was favourable to our cool-climate style of Riesling, showcasing the citrus zest that we love. All of the fruit was hand-picked and whole cluster pressed. Three individual tanks were fermented at cool temperatures using a mix of cultured and ambient yeast. Natural sweetness was retained by halting fermentation to achieve a balanced wine. Blended in January and then bottled in March 2016, this wine shows our committment to terroir winegrowing.Awards
