2014 Chardonnay
Winemaker Notes
With more than 22 acres (9 ha) of Chardonnay planted in the Flat Rock Vineyard, it is second only to Pinot Noir in terms of number of vines. Small batch pressing and barrel fermenting our Chardonnay means we are able to keep individual parcels separate throughout fermentation and élevage. After 8 months barrels are selected for our Rusty Shed and Estate Chardonnay based on style. The 2014 Estate Chardonnay uses minimal new oak but is 100% French barrels of varying ages to ensure we capture the fruit complexity. The wine is then blended & bottled after 10 months in barrel to ensure a vibrant expression of Chardonnay grown in our soils.Wine Profile
