Our goal with the Unplugged Chardonnay each year is to craft a wine that is vibrant and showcases the fruit & terroir characteristics of Chardonnay. So we use a combination of stainless steel & 10-year old oak barrels to capture the essence of Chardonnay in this wine. Once fermentation is complete the wine is aged on its lees for a few months before being blended and bottled. Much like all of our wines, we only intervene when needed in order to protect the authenticity of the fruit. The barrels for this wine were selected in the 2016 winter and blended together to be bottled in the spring to capture the freshness of cool climate Chardonnay.
